FULL CASE STUDY

This project (for Queensland Bulk Terminals) consisted of the design and construction of a packing plant that included a horizontal on-truck container filling machine able to fill two containers simultaneously.

The project also included a series of 300 tonne per hour Skandia Drag Conveyors and a Skandia Bucket Elevator, as well as six Air-ride Belt Conveyors and two Horizontal Container Packers designed and constructed by Ahrens.

In addition, the storage component of this project included eight 650- tonne Webster hopper-bottom silos and four 30-tonne outload bins. All of which were manufactured in our Queensland facility and erected and assembled on site. Completing the project are a series of structural steel conveyor supports, walkways, towers and buildings, which were also designed, fabricated and constructed by Ahrens.

We made excellent use of our vertically-integrated structure and in-house capabilities to successfully complete this project – including our in-house design, engineering and international procurement capabilities, and state-of-the-art steel fabrication facilities.
