Ahrens All-Rounder Silos STandard Features

  • Fully welded (internal and external) 45° base construction
  • Full 2-pac epoxy internal base cone coating for corrosion resistance
  • Silo section ring beam to assist in effective cleanout
  • Manual discharge slide gate with stainless steel slide operated from the base ring
  • 2 (Two) 1,000mm wide bay for ease of access with auger or belt conveyor
  • Lump breaking Silo sieve above outlet
  • Easily accessible base manhole
  • White Colorbond® sidewalls and roof construction with red oxide on the inside to minimise corrosion
  • Sight glasses to indicate storage level

The new Ahrens All-Rounder silo can switch seamlessly between grains, fertilisers, stockfeed pellets or seed storage.

The fifth-generation, Australian family-owned Engineering, Manufacturing and Construction company unveil the new Ahrens All-Rounder silo, capable as the name suggests of handling all your storage requirements.

Based on the Ahrens Fertiliser silo range, the All-Rounder boasts a robust design and engineering specifications to cope with the heaviest loads and most demanding products. Featuring enhanced corrosion resistant coatings, the All-Rounder is designed to address the harsher conditions created by corrosive fertilisers and the high salt content of many stock feeds.

The All-Rounder features a heavy-duty base with 45-degree cone to ensure maximum flow and reduce hang ups in pellets, fertiliser and other fodder products. The base is then enhanced with an internal 2 Pak Epoxy coating which is partnered with White COLORBOND® steel sidewalls with red oxide coating on the inside to minimise corrosion.

Two integral features of the All-Rounder silo are gastight sealing and Ahrens thermosiphon fumigation system, which ensures the safe storage of grain and eliminates weevil problems quickly and safely. This simple ground operated fumigation system naturally circulates Phosphine gas quickly around the silo elevating gas levels for an effective kill. Efficient fumigation allows for the All-Rounder to also be used as an isolation silo for treating grain from unsealed storages such as sheds, bags or older silos before selling.  

Above others, the All-Rounder Silo’s versatility means farmers considering purchasing a silo for storage are no longer locked into a single use silo. The All-Rounder can evolve in function as their farming focus alters to meet the seasonal demand and changing market forces.
